Videoconferencing is a live communication by two or more people who are in different places, which they are going to only use a camera and a mic, it was made possible by using computer networks that are connected via stable internet, in order to get access to one another.

Videoconferencing (VC), is the best alternative of actual meeting, because it has both audio and video transmissions that people could use to communicate two or more people even from far away locations.

Due to the non-stop progress of our technologies, videoconferencing could now be also use in our smartphones.

Can the technology replace all or most face-to-face meetings?

Not all, but most face-to-face meetings could be replaced by this innovating technology, for it is way more convenient and way easier than spending a lot of money and time  just by having a long trip in a heavy traffic just for you to only reach one meeting.

What are the costs of common video conferencing systems and recurring costs their use incurs?

For your information, videoconferencing has lesser cost than actual meetings. Videoconferencing will only cost you several equipment that a person need to make it happen such as, a desktop computer with high-end webcam and microphone, a laptop with built-in webcam and mic, and a fast Internet.
In actual meetings, employees that lived from faraway places, in order to reach that scheduled meeting, each employee should suffer first in a long non-ending heavy traffic and the hot blazing rays of the sun.

Imagine this, if your company has already have a videoconferencing set and your CEO suddenly calls for an emergency meeting, and you just went to a trip to a country that is a thousand miles away from your company, videoconferencing might be very useful for this kind of situation.

  1. I agree with the video conferencing of your own blog post Mr. Morales! It is cheap than attending live at the office to make the meetings possible. Nice work with this Joshua! What an informative way of making a blog post about this stuff relating to an advance technology!
