6 - Legalizing Death Penalty in the Philippines

Imagine the world without criminals, where you feel safe to go outside alone, even in the darkest places you know, because no one will ever try to commit a single unlawful act, and we know from ourselves that it is sinful to do. So today I’ll be talking about the Capital Punishment or what most people called Death Penalty, but before that, I would like to ask you a simple question. Are you in favor of legalizing the death penalty in the Philippines or are you against it? As for me, I’m in favor of legalizing the death penalty in this country, it’s because our country is getting worse and worse, because of the criminals in the society.

So let’s start with, how do we define what death penalty is and how is it done?

 Death Penalty is a kind of punishment that puts an end to any criminals that are convicted of murder or treason, where the government has the authority over their crimes and puts the convicted person of the crime to death by firing squad, hanging, or lethal injection.

Anyway, I’m going to tell you some examples of crimes that will make you realize, that death penalty should be legal.  Almost everyday, many criminals here in the Philippines are not afraid to commit an uncountable insane crimes such as, unmerciful murdering of people, raping of an innocent, and lastly unpreventable selling of illegal drugs. Now let’s go back on the first one, which is the murdering of an innocent people. For those who opposed, have you ever thought that, what if a serial killer got free from jail and suddenly had killed your family, loved-ones, or even you and this killer got caught, what would you think is the right punishment for him to stop? He should receive a death sentence as his punishment ! As the Bible says in Genesis 9:6, saying “Whoever sheds man's blood, By man his blood shall be shed; For in the image of God He made man.” And it should be also done to the second act of crime, which is raping. 

 Actually, last week upon searching on the latest news from the internet, a disturbing act of a convicted black man from Ohio USA, had raped, and murdered a poor innocent six-month old baby girl named L’Naya Love White, and the shocking part is that, the court only decided to put that nigga on jail and has a chance to bailed out once more, just by only paying a large amount of money and sadly their justice system is like our country’s justice system. So where is the real justice people!? If I were only the policeman who caught that man, I already pull the trigger before it raped again . Now for the last act of crime, selling of illegal drugs. We all know that illegal drugs are very bad for our health. It ruined millions of lives, and illegal drugs are known to be the root of all crime activities , and the only way to lessen it, is to catch Its lords and punish them by death sentence, because here in the Philippines, even though the Filipino drug lords have been caught and put in prison, their transaction are still ongoing.

So before I end this speech, I’m going to ask you one more time.  Do you want murderers, rapists, child molesters, and terrorists, to have a another chance to live?It's up to you!   

I want you to remember this: Death Penalty is not all about getting revenge, it is about doing what is right, and not what is wrong.
